The ever-evolving professional literature
For those lucky enough to be so accoutered.
If any of you subscribers should have microphotographs of pertinent parts of sporocarps, we'd be more than pleased to display them!
We invite digi-graphic submissions of mystery mushrooms.
Photographers who wish to shoot in situ will be co-opted to accompany foragers in the season.
We invite your digitized submissions of fungal watercolours for inclusion in our online library.
Those participants whom are graphically inclined; please fashion some icons for the discussion digest area, okay? Some potentially useful symbols might be; collection basket, microscope, a Pleurotus trap throttling a nematode, a frypan or other vessel, a tiny question mark composed of baffling red Russulae, I don't know.
We are not even responsible for our spelling, let alone anything of real import, that goes on out here. You read, write, communicate, and experiment entirely at your own risk.
While other MycoVortices on the Net are perhaps more technically to the point, we here will attempt to focus a bit on the mycophagical aspects; preparation, storage and comparison of various wild fungal edibles.
Communication is the name of the game up here; so please take the trouble to use the Latin binominals to refer to the various fungi if you can.
We are very interested in tabulating, in a very casual way, what fleshy fruiting fungi we are all eating. Subjective impressions vary to an amazing degree. Tell us more.
